http://bluedot.us is a yet another social networking platform where people can share links, its slightly different than http://del.icio.us as it allows posting by just a single click on the browser and it has some other social networking components built in.

But I still wonder, with so many such new social networking platforms, what will people finally use. I feel this is just fragmenting user community.

Evoultion might be, but how many places do you think people can maintain identities?

Yeah, multiple identities are a pain. All the more reason for Google, Yahoo to come up with these sites or atleast offer features similar to those. Users can use a single identity then. But then, both are’nt very aggressive about it, unless they see money in it :(

Does it allow sending the “current” link that I am browsing to people I know by email? just click of a button ..

If not, dya know of any other service that does that?

(I use reddit ‘share’ feature to send links, if they are found in reddit)

It adds to the feed in one click, so if someone is subscribing your feed then yes.
