Recent trips

May 29th, 2007

Made 2 trips in the last 2 weeks, 1 to BR hills and the other to Bandipur. Though had to return from BR hills just in a day due to some issues, the trip was quite good.

Bandipur was pretty fruitful in terms of photography, as we got to shoot a pond terrapin, monitor lizard and some more elephants. The sad story was that we missed a leopard in 2minutes and a tiger as well in the next 5 mins. A noisy bus full of kids and bright color clothed people got to see them.

Here’s posting the pics from the BR hills trip, Bandipur coming shortly…

WOW. With a 70-200, you have to get so up-close to the wilds

I think you could achieve something closer with some post processing on the ones you posted.

lovely pics!! I like the owls eyes, especially in the second pic and the elephant with deers in the background looks so nice and gives a wild feel :)
am getting all nostalgic about wild life and these parks in India now. your pics remind me of my visit to Ranthambhore national park, we spotted 5 tigers :) but more than that, the experience of the safari and seeing the wild in the wild was pretty exciting. Once I get my camera equipement…will try visiting the wildlife here in the UK. I was thinkiing of going for D-40 but i think i will reconsider. (ya ya i know, camera does not matter much …as one of my frnd says )

High contrast and intense hues. I likes.

Well it was not meant to look very colorful and stuff, but since firefox and most browsers do not understand color profiles, I have to bump up contrast and stuff so that they don’t look dull.
