Malabar giant squirrel

The Malabar Giant Squirrel, Ratufa indica, is a large forest squirrel found in South Asia. The size of just the body is about a meter. These are pretty shy animals and are found mostly on high fruit bearing trees with thick foliage, making them a tough subject for photography

On the drive back from Daroji Bear sanctuary, we saw this guy in the fields. My friend Sanath was driving and providing the much needed light on the leopard from the car. One of the most amazing sightings and wildlifing experiences I've ever had.
