Malabar Pit Viper Hiss

The Malabar Pit Viper, like all vipers is venomous. These are nocturnal and hunt during the night, during the day they are usually basking. The pits (holes tha look like nose) are heat sensing and help hunt in the night. This guy apparently is not in the best of the moods.

Ghost of darkness

On the drive back from Daroji Bear sanctuary, we saw this guy in the fields. My friend Sanath was driving and providing the much needed light on the leopard from the car. One of the most amazing sightings and wildlifing experiences I've ever had.
